Trans-african pickup truck in Watford, Northamptonshire for sale

n 2013 I decided to drive back from Durban (South Africa) to London. I had 5 weeks between jobs and rather than fly back I thought I would discover a continent. It carried me safely and reliably through the desert, dirt tracks and the highways of the African continent. It is a Isuzu KD250 with 216000Km/ 134000 miles on the clock. You need refuel around every 400km/248miles due to the tank being about 40 litres. Current issues are the following: 1. The battery needs replacing/ recharging as the truck has not been driven for about a year. 2. Left back tire puncture 3. Damage to the Left front side (on the final miles of my voyage an articulated truck decided to sharply turn and clipped my L front side) 4. The truck is fully imported and VAT paid - but for prospective owners they would have to register it with the DVLA I slightly modified the truck by making the loading bin secure. I bolted shutter boards with hinges onto the loading bin which allowed me to make it a secure compartment whilst giving me a flat/elevated surface to sleep on during my trip. The truck is underpowered for its weight - no turbocooler technology but it does a steady 100km/h which is about 70 mph. It is not really designed for speed but for hauling stuff and plodding. It managed long distance driving fantastically well and had no problems in the heat (over 50 degrees in the Sahara) and the dust. It could easily do the same trip again with some work (oil change, checking clutch and transmission, some work to the body and new tires. Alternatively it could we sold for parts.
